CLUB MISSION STATEMENT
Strengthen the spirit of archery through fellowship, competition, and ethical hunting.
THE CLUB TODAY
Desert Archers utilizes the Tucson Mountain Park Archery Range (Pima County Parks and Recreation) just west of Tucson, AZ. The park archery range consists of eight practice bales with ranges from 10 to 70 yards and three walking courses with 14 targets per course with ranges from 10 to 80 yards. During our monthly club 3D events, we close the walking courses and set up two new courses with 15 to 20 3D targets per course. Every target is set up to simulate an actual hunting situation. Club shoots are open to club members and nonmembers alike.
No matter what equipment you shoot (longbow, recurve, or compound) there is someone in Desert Archers who shares your interest.
FUTURE PLANS
Our goal is to continuously recruit new members and cultivate active board members to promote the growth of archery. The club continually upgrades and increases the total number of 3D targets available to set up courses. Sponsors are always welcome to off-set the cost of club operations.
